Re: Hello
I am getting a dwarf, so got the medium silent spinner as the smaller one may be too small.
I haven't decided high dwarf species to get. It may depend on what is available for adoption. I haven't seen robots for adoption in p@h. I can buy them there though.
I would like to hold/stroke my hamster, but will always provide the best care etc even if it doesn't become tame.

Re: Hello
How exciting to be getting a new hamster. I have two syrians and two roborovskis. The robos are very quick very beautiful and very good at hiding whenever they see me!!! The syrians are both boys and very laid back and allow strokes.
Have you seen erinsanimals latest hammy? Its a really cuuute little hybrid dwarf. There are so many lovely looking hamsters to choose from aren there? Looking forward to hearing what you get.

Re: Hello
I'm leaning towards a Russian at the moment as the Robos are harder to tame. I have not owned a Robo yet and am sure I will one day. I have see Erin's new hamster. It's so cute. Erin's YouTube channel and my nieces Chinese hamster reminded me how much I liked having a hamster.
I completely agree. I like all the species of hamster and there are so many colours to choose from.

Re: Hello
In p@h today and I bought a medium log cabin. I had a look at the hamsters and was talking to a staff member about getting a hamster soon and I she opened some of the cages and let me hold some of the dwarfs. They were just sitting on my hand, no biting or jumping off. She also picked up a lot of the robos and they actually seemed quite relaxed at being held. One robo in particular stayed on her hand for a lot longer than the others. They are getting more next week. So I will be checking them out too. I really hope I get a hamster cage for my birthday (next week).

Re: Hello
You must be getting so impatient for that birthday! It's very hard to handle the hams like that & not bring one home!

Re: Hello
I am looking forward to my birthday (1 week to go). I so wanted a robo, the light grey Russian or the agouti red eyed Russian.
Then I saw an adorable light chocolate Syrian and wanted that on two. I will get a Syrian another time as my hamster toys and wheel are too small for a Syrian.
