Default Greetings!

Hello! I'm new round these parts! Just wanted to say "Hi!" I'm really looking forward to interacting with all of you about our Hamsters! I have a female Syrian hamster named Maia. I've only had her for a very short period of time. My previous hamster passed away awhile ago and I felt it was time for a new one and since then its been bliss! See you all around!

Hey Nienna!!

I'm so glad you could join us! I never thought I'd end up recruiting a hamster lover from GuildWars! (that’s a computer game, to everyone who’s feeling confused right now) I guess I always have hamsters on the brain!

I'm so glad you could join us, and I look forward to seeing your posts around the forum! Please feel free to post up some pictures if you can! I'd love to see your little ham Maia!

Guild Wars is a fantasy RP-type game put out by ArenaNet and NC Soft for the PC. You complete missions and quests to improve your character while moving along the storyline. There are so many things you can do that there never seems to be a dull moment. Whether it's farming in the Shiverpeak Mountains or the occasional Guild VS Guild battle, I'm never bored. It's really a lot of fun and that is where I found out about this site from Candace!

Hiya Nienna, welcome to the site

(Candace - I can't believe you're recruiting in an online role playing game!! )

I'm not one to talk though - I admit to being a fan of those games too I have another life in a game called 'World of Warcraft' It's absolutely amazing and a similar game to Guild Wars I believe.

I've thought about trying Guild Wars but I've heard it might not be as good if you've already played Warcraft ? What do you think?

I've never played WoW before but I've heard 50/50% from others who've played WoW. Some like it and some don't. Personally, I think it's so awesome and they are expanding in the first half of 2006. One thing you have to keep in mind when starting a new game like this and that you have to keep an open mind about it. It's a different game and it's not going to be just like WoW or other PC games in that catagory. But ultimately, you'll have to try it for yourself! I'm sure once you do, you'll get hooked.

I used to be a huge Role Playing fan, but it just got too time consuming - I was so addicted I had to make a break...

I nearly failed my university exams because of SIMS, and many a night as an undergraduate was spent with my friends playing whole weekends of Dungeons and Dragons... I still love the books.

Ya, I have to manage my time carefully because I'm such a Guild Wars addict. Needless to say that while taking care of Maia, I haven't been on the game for awhile...
