Hi there!
Greetings!
Nice to meet you! I currently own a gorgeous winter white hamster called Pygmypuff (I call her Puff) and I previously owned a lovely little Syrian called Pippa. I am hoping to get a new hamster this Christmas!
I love to learn all things hamster related and I can't wait to get stuck in!
Hope you are all having a great day!

Oh gosh I'm not sure! I tend to go to the pet shop thinking I'd love to get one type of hamster, but then I get there and I fall in love with a hammy of another type. I haven't yet owned a Chinese or a Roborovski, are there either of those you'd particularly recommend?
What hamster/s do you own? ^^

Re: Hi there!
That sounds like a good plan to me - find the one that finds you in the pet shop! We just have the one Syrian, Charlie. There were only two in the pet shop and the lady got him out saying the other one was a biter! Charlie stood up on his back legs with his paws half way up the tank, and sniffed happily at our little boy who wanted him immediately! He looked so sweet an innocent and seemed to want to come with us lol! He had to wait a few days until I had a cage set up, then picked him up in the base of a rotostak space command (which turned out to be no good and I had to get another cage 3 weeks later!) The base had an external wheel attached and he immediately jumped into the wheel in the pet shop in the middle of the day, while I was paying and ran round it furiously! The lady in the pet shop said he had never seen a wheel before. Poor hammy! It never occurred to me that they don't get exercise in pet shops.
Just go with your heart.

Re: Hi there!
What a fantastic story! Charlie sounds like a lovely little boy. I hate to think about all the hamsters in pet shops stuck in their cages all day, so that's why I always get mine from shops rather than breeders. It's so sad imagining all the hamsters that grow old and live their whole lives in a glass tank waiting to be loved.
Thank you for the advice.

You haven't lived until you've owned a Chinese! OK I know I'm biased & just totally smitten by mine but until I got her I had no idea what adorable pets they are
She wasn't exactly planned & adopted me rather than the other way around & I think that's the best way
As well as her I have two hybrids who are equally adorable but very different, I've never had a robo but would like one at some point...

Oh dear! Maybe I should gather an awful lot of biased opinions and then they wouldn't be as biased? Hehe x3
That definitely is the best way, I quite agree. What is she like? What's her name?
The hybrids sounds gorgeous! Robos seem like a bit of a challenge and that makes me very intrigued!
