When it comes down to it I think there's only one bias & that's just hamsters, any hamsters lol!
Chinese are a little challenging too, they are very shy & timid at first so harder to tame than the russians but it's really worth all the patience it takes.
They are incredibly agile, climb & burrow like crazy so they need lots of space but they're also very gentle once tamed & love to sit in your hand, climb up your sleeve or into a little pouch or somewhere cosy.
Zephyr has her own thread here Zephyr's thread
Robos are generally even harder to tame & some never get really hand tamed but it's not impossible, they're even faster than Chinese so I think they take a fair bit of confidence but are a lot of fun to watch

Very true!
Maybe it would be a good idea to start with a Chinese if they are generally more tame than the Robos, seeing as I've never actually had to properly "tame" a hamster before. Pippa, the Syrian I used to have, was a little shy to start with but came out of her shell very quickly with a few treats. Puff, on the other hand, is just naturally incredibly friendly. Even in the pet shop she sat on the worker's hands and gave herself a wash!
Zephyr is stunning! What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl!

Robos can be a bit of a challenge, but it's only because many of them don't become tame like other species. They prefer to be left alone.

I am absolutely biased though xD I'm so in love with my Robo, Lucy, that its unreal and she wants nothing to do with me lol. But it's so fun to watch her zip around her tank, collecting food or burrowing in her tunnels.
