Hi,

My name is Max and I am new to the forum, and new to hamsters in general. I've always had gerbils - in fact I have one now - but, I was in a pet store and I saw a Syrian hamster that looked so, so depressed, and after watching him for about an hour, I decided that he should be liberated. His name is Coco, and he's been with me for one week.

Since this is a forum to introduce myself, and not Coco, I'll travel over to the species topics so that I can ask a few questions. Having never had a hamster before, I definitely have a lot of questions!

I'm really glad this resource exists - thanks so much for the information that you all have provided even before I joined the forum.

Welcome to the forum Max and Coco. I'm sure you will get answers to all your questions here. I never had any gerbils so i know nothing about them lol, all i know is they are very cute

Hello and welcome to the forum to you both, Max and Coco . I had a hanmy named Coco once. he was a wonderful boy. I hope to see a photo of your Coco soon.
