Smile Bonding With My Chinese Dwarf Hamster

Hello i recently got a chinese dwarf hamster named Snibbs, all she seems to do is burry herself in the bedding and when im not in the room she comes out, then when i come back to my room she darts back in her house. I still can pick her up and but when i do she gets very scared. So what im asking is, is there anyway for her to be not scared of me?? or should i just wait and hope for the best??????????????????????

Sincerely, SnibbsTheHamster

First off, Chinese hamsters are MOSTLY a look no touchy pet My girl Bella prefers not to be handled which is fine by me! Instead I just stroke her and give her treats it's still super fun!
You can try luring her out of her house with treats, not too sugary as chinese' are diabetic prone! See if she takes it off you...if not...wind back a few steps! Sit by the cage and talk see if she comes out at all! Keep trying this until she's confidently taking treats etc! REMEMBER take it at her pace and don't rush! Patience will be your best friend!
If this doesn't work and you've tried repetitively you may need to accept the fact Snibbs wants to be a looky hamster, don't worry this can still be fun!

I've done a lot to help Beanie (Chinese) and still think of things. He is so far a no touch hamster as well. He runs when I'm in the room. He does love sunflower seeds though! I can't offer any advice except make sure he has plenty of hiding spots so when he does come out, he knows he can quickly dart to a hiding spot. Good luck!
