Hi! New Hammie owner
Hi everyone, I just got my new short-haired syrian Pom Pom nearly a week ago. I had my first hamster years ago when I was a kid. Now as an adult, I found myself wanting a pet hammie again!

Re: Hi! New Hammie owner
Thanks for the welcomes! I had a bit of a rough start with Pom Pom including a visit to the vet (for wet tail ), but she seems to be doing much better now. She is much more skittish than the hamster I had as a kid, but I'm hopeful she will get comfortable in time.

..same here..i have a hamster again after MANY years and its wonderful. My friends think I may be going a little crazy.!
Theyre really fun to look after and find new ideas of keeping them occupied.
i found it took her a few weeks to settle in and stop trying to escapebut now she is really content, and knows her routine.Good luck with POM POM.!
