Hello everyone from the UK
I have a 5 week old albino syrian hamster, called snow white, I got him a week ago (at 4 weeks old). Already got him a new cage (delivered today just waiting for him to wake up to put him in) as he keeps gnawing on the wires, he wont go in his wheel, but on his new cage his wheel is bigger and isn't as stiff as his current one, so I'm hoping he goes in this new one. He is still getting used to his exercise ball, he moves in it but doesn't quite run in it yet. He doesn't seem to mind being picked up, he doesn't mind the hands being in the cage, he seems to be okay with being stroked too, I've also let him sit on my hand ect, I don't want to rush him by going too quickly.
His new cage doesn't have as many wires as his current one and has more to do in his new one so I'm hoping he wont gnaw as much!!!!
He likes apple and cucumber, I'm still getting to grips on what treats I can feed him?!
Anyone got any tips for me? I'm new to all this and I want him to be as comfortable and happy as he can be

Aww he's a sweetie and seems like he's settled in well! I have a new syrian too (Humbug) so far she really likes dried apple chips from my local pet store, yoghurt drops and the immune booster and dental rice bites from p@h... oh and she loves the odd peanut too!
