Default Hey All

Hey was just browsing around sites and came across here. I've just bought two russian dwarfs. Got a few questions as well my main concern is that one of them is getting quite fat.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Could one of your hamsters possibly be pregnant?

Welcome Timmo, glad you came to join us, ask as many questions as you wish.

Are you sure both are male, or was it just the pet shop that said that?

Hopefully they are both male and one is just a podge, but we hear many stories of pet shops sexing dwarf hamsters incorrectly.

Anyway, I suggest you post your question under the either the russian campbell or russian winter white variety and someone with lots of dwarf experience will help!

Welcome to the forum. It is possible your hamster is pregnant if it has been wrongly sexed and in a mixed tank. This is very common. As Spud's mum suggests perhaps post pics of the undersides in the WW section and any questions. Hope we can be of help and you enjoy the forum.
