Hello!
Hello all,
We were recommended to this forum by a couple of people. We currently have one syrian hammy called Millie who is a black-eyed cream kinda colour.
We lost another Syrian last week, a golden called Betty, whom we miss very much.
We are in Leicester and are aiming to get some Russian hamsters in the next couple of weeks - any one know where we can get any from??
Kirsty

Welcome to Hamstrer Central and thank you to your friend for sending you our way
Have you contact the relevant Hamster Club for your area
they are the best source of good quality hobby breeders, there may even be a show near you where you can go along and see different hamsters and meet other hamster fans like us
Good luck in your search
Hope to speak to you soon

Hi and welcome from me - I live in Leicester too!
I don't know any dwarf breeders in Leicester as such, I'd advise you to get them either from a breeder if you can (the links Spud's Mum gave might help) or get tame rescues. You'll find all the dwarf varieties - Campbell's, winter whites, chinese and roborovski's at P@H and other local pet shops - you are unlikely, however, to get hand tamed ones (or proper advice about their care) in these places.
I'll have a think and see if I can think of anyone local-ish.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry about your loss. Try the links and if possible get to a show where there are often dwarfs on the sales table. Do be aware that if you get more than one you may end up splitting due to fighting as most of us here have had to do so be careful to think through if you can accommodate two cages if necessary.

Hello and welcome!
Sorry to hear about your loss, little critters soon manage to tug at the heart strings don't they?!
Hope you enjoy it here.
