My name is lisa, and I have a male 3.5 year old hamster. His name is Popcorn. I have been very worried about him lately. He has been lethargic and is losing his balance. He still is eating and drinking water, but he is just not himself. Does anyone have any advice to help Popcorn? The other morning he woke up with sleep on his eyes too. Could he have allergies? He has never had any problems before this....

Popcorn is some age now and 3.5 years is a fantastic achievement. I don't know what would be causing sleepy eyes for him - but you could try and gently wipe them with some damp cotton wool. If he's a bit wobbly on his paws you could remove some of the items in his cage - just to make it easier for him to get around.

Welcome Lisa. Your little one is obviously much loved and treasured. He sounds like he is a tired lad now and age is creeping up on him. I have answered your other post. Cuddles to Popcorn who sounds a real sweetie.
