Default Hi I'm new here

Hi, I'm leanne, I'm a vet nurse and I have loads of pets! I'm totally mad about animals. I'm looking to get some more rodents but I want to get them from a sanctuary but all the sanctuaries over here just have cats and dogs so I'm having a hard time trying to find rodents in need of a good home. Today I took on a 7month old syrian from people moving away, they had their hands full with 5 dogs (1 pregnant) 10 rabbits, 4 fish tanks and 2 kids! Shes lovely. I prefer to take on older hamsters, those with health or behavioural problems and that aren't likely to get a good home because I feel I have the experience to be able to give them a good life. I look forward to meeting you all

Welcome Leanne! I’m sure you will love hamster central. We are a friendly bunch and just as in love with animals as you are. I believe many of use own more pets then just hamsters. I myself can say that I’m very enthusiastic about animals.

I have two cats two hamsters and six gerbils and a large 75-gallon fish tank. If I had more room and abundant cash you can believe id find more places for pets!

It’s very gracious of you to look into adopting unwanted animals. I think that is the best thing to do if you can. My past two hamsters were adopted and both our cats are rescues. I saw your classified ad here on HC and I hope you get some luck with it.

If not you might want to try a website called craigslist http://www.craigslist.org/about/cities.html Just pick a location near you. Then under community click pets and post a "wanted ad" that’s how I managed to find my newest Syrian hamster Gwendolyn. I find its updated quite regularly, at least for my area. You can probably find some pets in needs of a home that way. Good luck with it!

I can’t wait to see more on your profile. Just a note that your profile won’t show on the “profiles page” until you actually fill it out. I hope you have pics to upload!

Well considering that there could be over 50 animals each day that need cleaned fed and medicated at least 3 times a day, its quite a relief to come home at nights and make sure mine are cleaned and fed lol apart from when im working overnight then my mum and sisters have to look after them for me.
