Perfect little Poppy
Hi all!
I have a new hybrid hammy in my care.
She came from an abusive home (two young boys who bullied her relentlessly and then tried feeding her to the family cat. Yeesh). She shows signs of stress and at the moment hates humans (although coming closer to smell me if I speak gently.)
My boyfriend and I identified her as female when moving her to a larger cage (much to her disliking) and I decided to name her Poppy.
Taking photos of her is difficult as she is elusive and hides away most of the time.
I am hoping to rehabilitate her into a happy hamster.

Re: Perfect little Poppy
Poppy's very sweet. It's brilliant that you have given her a loving and caring home after all that she has been through.

Poppy looks lovely, great to hear that you've given her the forever home that she deserves, I'm sure she'll be very happy now.

Re: Perfect little Poppy
Poor little Poppy, so sad to hear she was once bullied. Hopefully she’ll soon know that she’s got new caring owners and will soon feel happy and settled.

Re: Perfect little Poppy
I am so pleased that Poppy now has a wonderful home with you. Can’t believe how badly she was treated in her previous home.
I hope with your love that she will learn trust you and become confident.

Re: Perfect little Poppy
People can be truly heartless, but it's people like you who will teach them all a lesson. Good luck with Poppy, she is beautiful.
