I decided that today was the day to try and introduce him to my hand for longer than a split second. He put his front paws on me then tried to nip me (not sure how gentle it would have been cos my hand moved). Tried a couple more times and got a couple of tooth scrapes and lost my nerve!

At least he doesnt seem afraid of my hand. He will be moving into the duna multy today. Yippee.

I hope so Ruth! He is loving his new cage. Me too. Its at the foot of my bed and I get a really good view of him. Awww.

Little nips or nibbles aren't unusual, nibbles are quite normal as they explore hands & figure out what is & isn't food!
Just be confident with him & he should be fine, if he nibbles a little try not to move your hand or react so he doesn't get scared.

Thanks cypher. Luckily my hand moving didnt seem to phase him at all. I was very touched when he put his little paws on me awww.

Well he is a brave little soul. I put my hand in. Again tiny paws on me but also tiny teeth. I tried not to flinch. He gave 3 good bites. I moved! Ow. Blood (not much).

He adores his sand bath and has a good old roll and a wee. Very handy for cage cleaning purposes. I will be getting hi! An jpright wheel soon and making him a platform.

Wish he didnt bite but its early days. He is soooooo cute!

He's probably just investigating! Hope he stops the nipping soon. Perhaps if you move your hand away slightly every time he bites it would get him out of the habit? Sounds as though he isn't biting from fear or aggression as he is coming over to say hello.
