Re: Meet Willow
At least the thread didn't stretch. Lol I might be getting the hang of adding photos.
It is lovely when I get to see her. As she is wakes up late and goes to sleep early in the morning.
I have mixed her Fitch in better with her sawdust as she wouldn't use the Fitch alone. Her old nest has been abandoned as it had some Fitch in it. I have removed it and put tissue in. She is very particular about what she does and doesn't like.

Re: Meet Willow
It's probably a good thing for Willow's health that she's not pregnant (although I have to admit I'd love see some baby Willows!).
Photo looks a good size and she's pretty as ever!

Re: Meet Willow
She's looking lovely in that pic CMB, she's such a pretty colour.
Just wanted to add (though I know you said you were going to leave it for now), I bought the science selective biscuits thinking I would give them one a week as a treat, but apart from the odd nibble none of mine seem very interested in them. But I keep giving them one a week anyway and throw the previous weeks one out lol

Re: Meet Willow
Thank you all. I do love her pretty colour. That and her friendlyness when I chose her.
I thought I would share details of Willow's diy water bottle holder.
I cut the wire to look like the photo below. Then folded it to hold around and underneath the water bottle. The height is adjustable, by folding the wire over the top edge of the tank at the best height for the hamster to reach the bottle spout.

Re: Meet Willow
I managed to get Willow to wake up earlier last night by rustling the substrate, so we had a quick cuddle session before she got too hyper and then playpen time.
Whilst in the playpen we did a weigh in. Willow is now 51g.
She seamed to like playpen for a little while. Then decided she wanted to go back to her tank, where she went on her wheel for a run.

Re: Meet Willow
Your DIY looks impressive.
I love cuddle time, it really is wonderful. Bless her wanting to get back to her tank for a spin on her wheel.

Re: Meet Willow
I'm just catching up on lovely Willow's thread. She looks as gorgeous as ever in her bowl and sipping from her water bottle. The DIY bottle holder looks great, too. It looks like such a wonderful DIY solution. However, I probably couldn't use it for Eros since she already loves to climb up hers too much, and that bottle holder would just make it all the easier for her to do so. I am so glad that Willow is enjoying her cuddle time with you so much. BTW, I am glad for you and Willow that it turned out that she wasn't pregnant after all. Although it would have been quite lovely to see baby Willows, it probably would have been quite difficult for such a young hammy to have pups. CMB, your pics and their resizing looks great to me, too.

Re: Meet Willow
Thank you both.
Willow hasn't wanted to come out again lately, but has been creating an impressive burrow system. It's hard to tell where she sleeps. She pops up from one of the burrow entrances randomly. It's like she is playing peek-a-boo. So cute.

Re: Meet Willow
You can never have too many burrows. Sounds like Willow's been keeping busy.
