I never give mine the fruit baby foods, mine love the chicken and veggie ones.
Good to hear Willow's giving you plenty cuddles, such a wonderful feeling.

I'm so glad that Willow is enjoying extra cuddles from you. I know it must be truly wonderful and blissful for you!! I'm also happy to hear her playpen time are going so great, too. The tubes and climbing tunnels sound like lots of fun.

I do enjoy extra time with Willow, as she was not that eager to come out much. I think she must have been on here reading about Halloween and trick of treating, as she was about a lot last night and kept popping up in different places looking cute. She even got to sit in the flax seed box, then in the pumpkin seed and brown linseed box and help herself to seeds (not for long though). Her trick or treat treats were stored in her coconut hide.

She has been out for a cuddle and playpen time already.

Perhaps the new boys have spurred her on, she was maybe worried she'd miss out if she didn't get herself out and about

I think the boys have spurred her on. This morning at just after 3am I woke up and could hear scratching noises. I got up to check the hamsters. Oliver was on his wheel running, so it wasn’t him. Murphy was running on his wheel, so it wasn’t him. So with no sign of Willow, but lots of noise, I started looking for her. Then calling her and offering treats/seeds.

I finally found her inside to filter. Her secret mission had been completed and I always thought she was trying to get to the wire covering the top of her tank. It had taken her a few months training, but she had done it. She must have pulled herself up using the sisal carrot that blocks the hole on the side of the filter. Got on top of the filter and gone in the hole that is where the heater goes.

I could have entered the naughty but nice competition. She sat inside looking so cute. It took a while to get her out, as I had to remove all hides, toys, platform etc, just leaving substrate and move the tank onto my bed to tip it on its back. She walked out as if nothing was wrong.

She may have wanted it as her nest, as she was trying to get back up there.i put her stone on top and waited to see what she would do. She tried many times, before giving up and going for a run on her wheel.

This morning I covered the side hole with washers, nut and bolt. The top has wire covering the top holes. So I now think she can’t get up there or get inside it.

Oh, wow - she did it!! She is quite the clever and determined one. It's always amazing how hammy's just act so oblivious to our concerns for their well-being. She must have been quite the sight coming out of the filter as carefree and non-fazed as ever. I'm glad that you have it blocked off now although I'm sure Willow is unimpressed as she wanted as her extra secret hideout. Be cautious though as the rocks may not completely deter her from trying to maneuver her way in again. Eros has been known on occasion to flip a 2-inch rock (used to keep her nails trim) in order to get to where she wanted to be. Although they are so small and seem incapable of moving things around that are larger and heavier than themselves, hams can be EXTREMELY determined and strong-willed making them capable of doing the seemingly impossible feats.

The rock was a temporary solution until morning. It has been removed now. So far Willow hasn’t been trying to get up there again. But who knows. She may be trying while I sleep.
