Re: Meet Willow
She got her wheel going last night. Is it ok to let her have it all the time or should I only let her use it for short periods as she is young.
I'm also looking to get a bigger one. Anyone have any recommendations?
It would need to fit into a Barney cage, as she may move into there at some point.

Re: Meet Willow
More food taken from me today and she gets on my hand quite often. Flax seeds were quickly eaten. She nibbles a little bit, but not hard, so nothing to worry about. She was a bit jumpy/concerned by being stroked so I only tried a couple of times.
She had her 1st weigh in today Willow is 20 grams. If I done it right.
I used a container to weight her in. After the weigh in I sat on my bed and let her climb out onto my hand. She was calm and walked between my hands and on my legs. I didn't hold her long before returning her to her tank.
She went back to bed after checking round her tank.
I also put a toilet paper tube leading into her original nest as a tunnel. I think she approved as she has gone in for a nap.

Re: Meet Willow
Congrats CMB on Willow who's very beautiful, I did laugh at the videos especially the wheel. She's definitely settled in.

Re: Meet Willow
Thank you. She sometimes runs too fast and flips over. Hope she doesn't hurt herself. I knew she was the one once I saw her. My sister suggested the name and I liked it right away. I had a male name chosen butt not a female name.
She had a little bit of porridge this morning. Don't know if she ate any though. I will take what is left away in a little while.

Re: Meet Willow
20g! she's still so tiny
She looks really full of beans & seems to be settling in really well.
They often flip out of the wheel at first but soon get the hang of it, it's both funny & scary to watch but I've never had a ham hurt themselves doing that, just make sure she has a soft landing!

Re: Meet Willow
Congrats on Willow!!
I'm glad she is settling in well, she sounds pretty confident and social.
20 grs!! I can't imagine how tiny she must be. She looks really cute exploring and running in her wheel. She is really fast! I can't suggest anything about the new wheel, as I don't have the barney, but I suppose that a 20 cm wheel could fit without too many problems (but it's better that you get a confirmation about that).
I thought Willow was a male's name (because of the film)

I love her coloration, very unique. The pic of her dining on the millet is cute

Re: Meet Willow
Thank you.
I changed her wheel to the pets at home version of the silent spinner. She hasn't tried it yet.
They told me she is 8 - 12 weeks old.
I think there are bigger sizes if the same wheel, just in case she grows too big.
Her porridge wasn't eaten, but I will try making her some another day.
Just as I was about to go out this morning she came out to see me. I put my hand in and she jumped on. I let her walk from hand to hand a bit whilst keeping her in her tank. Just in case.

Re: Meet Willow
How do I get the actual photo to show rather than the link or whatever it is called?
