~Bambi's Thread~
Hello everyone! It's been about three months since we adopted Bambi who is a MALE - everyone seems to think he's a girl, we don't mind I actually think it's funny ?Hybrid? dwarf hamster and he's now about 5 months old!
He's currently In a Zoozone 1 cage and he seems relatively happy. He's also the tamest hamster we've ever had ( I say we but he's actually not my hamster, don't worry I have permission off my cousin to post about him - she's currently sitting behind me reading this over my shoulder ) We kinda share him I guess?
He's also the laziest hamster ever!!! He sleeps everywhere, he once fell asleep on my head which was fun I guess.
Bambi REALLY loves pasta it's his favourite thing in the whole world he would sit and eat it all day everyday if we let him. He's constantly on his wheel - he also likes to sleep on that too it's like his baby!
although he has deep substrate in his cage he doesn't really dig at all - unless he's playing in his sandbath.. He's the cutest, sweetest thing and I thought I'd share some pics of him with you.
Has anyone seen ErinsAnimals's hamster Potassium? He looks like his twin Sorry the pics are blurry.

Haha, I remember seeing that video! I my friend once had a hamster and didn't realize that it was actually a girl until she was about 18 months old!

Re: ~Bambi's Thread~
Thank you all! I've been thinking about changing his food to Harry Hamster, he's currently on the Burgess Dwarf Hamster Harvest. It just seems like there isn't really a wide variety of things in it.. I know the Burgess is better for dwarf hamsters but my robo Misty didn't seem to have any problems with Harry Hamster.

Yes that is actually something I was thinking about too, I am new to keeping dwarfs and Ive been treating my girl as a hybrid, being careful due to the increased risk of diabetes. I am currently feeding her the burgess dwarf mix but wonder if it would be ok to mix a little of the Harry hamster in? as I felt the same about the burgess not having a lot in it.

I think it would be ok to mix them together, Misty ate only Harry Hamster (With added meal worms and sunflower seeds.) her whole life and she didn't have a problem with it... Though, she was a robo dwarf.
I guess mixing them together would be a good solution Bambi is really picky if he doesn't like the food in his bowl he pees on it so I'll change it, even though he gets fresh food everyday.

He's very cute! Bambi does look like Potassium a lot! I love his cage set up.
Not too sure on feeding him Harry Hamster to be honest. Cypher probably knows the answer! Burgess dwarf is still an excellent choice though. You would just have to vary your extras and treats (like pasta, chicken, egg, vegetables etc) which you should be doing anyway.
