Re: ~Bambi's Thread~
Thank you all for the nice comments! I got some pictures of him a few days ago, didn't get to post them because our internet went off. I got some pictures of him sleeping in his sand bath he also likes to sleep on his wheel he's VERY lazy! He looks so fat in these pictures, his cheeks are so chubby. Also those black things in his sand are sunflower seeds not poop, although he does use it as a potty

Re: ~Bambi's Thread~
Hello everyone, long time no see!! I don't have any pics today but I'll remember to take some soon.
First of all it was my birthday on the 9th June (Yay) and OF COURSE I just HAD to be sick on my birthday.
Then a few days ago one of our cats pebbles got really sick, I think I might have mentioned on here before that we had to take her the vets not too long ago. It was really sad to see her so sick she could hardly lift her head up or open her eyes, and honestly she was so bad that I don't think anyone really expected her to survive the night.
Thankfully she's doing much better now and she seems a lot more active and happy.
Bambi is doing fine, although he's not eating as much as he used to.. He seems fine though, hes drinking and playing as usual. Bambi's in the hallway since my room is being re - painted and we currently have people in the guest room there wasn't really anywhere else to put him. His treats are next to his cage so I think people have been giving him some when they walk past without telling me maybe that's why he's not eating his proper food.
With more people in the house he's absolutely loving all the attention from everyone.
My sister got him some new toys even though it was MY birthday. He's so spoiled, even with all the new toys he still spends most of his time playing in his box.
I haven't been online for so long so I'm binge reading everyones new posts

Re: ~Bambi's Thread~
Hope you can celebrate your birthday, now you are feeling better. You may want to check the treats to see if they are going down fast. Possibly put a note there to state how many treats he can have and try to get people to note when and what treats have been given.

Re: ~Bambi's Thread~
Hi everyone! How are you all? Bambi has been really lazy lately, probably due to the cold. He's been staying in bed for longer and only waking up in the early hours of the morning. He definitely takes after me!
I cleaned out his cage today since I've been sick recently so I hadn't been keeping up with my usual spot cleaning. He seemed really happy to see me it was so sweet! My sister held him while I was cleaning the cage and he was very nice to her, he made sure to give her lots of kisses! (In return for some sunflower seeds, of course. )
I took some pictures of him since I feel like I haven't posted any for a while. He wasn't very interested in posing though, since I'd just scattered some treats around his cage for him to find.
The last picture is of his current setup it looks a bit bare, I know but as he hasn't been as active lately I thought it was probably best to keep it kinda simple.

Re: ~Bambi's Thread~
Bambi's looking lovely, such a sweet little ham.
It could be the cold that's been making him less active, mine have all been spending more time in bed, I would try doing more to encourage activity now it's warmed up at least a bit, more substrate to dig in & maybe scatter feeding to keep him busy, he might do better with an upright wheel too.

I have tried him with an upright wheel but he just wasn't interested in it at all I made sure that it was the right size and everything but he just seems to prefer his flying saucer. It's weird since my past dwarf hamster Misty also refused to use her upright wheel but my past syrian hamster Miranda loved her trixie wheel. I've tried leaving his upright wheel in his cage numerous times but Bambi's more interested in napping under it than actually running on it.
