I forgot to post a picture of his new set up. It's not that great but he seems to be enjoying it - especially the box. Can you see him munching his millet? Also, I put his sand bath back in so he's been having A LOT of fun in there!

Like the new setup so far. Isn't it funny how of all the expensive and fancy toys hamsters get, they choose the box? When people ask why Duncan has so many boxes in his cage, I always have to explain this! How adorable he is eating the millet

Aww it looks nice. I felt like I was playing spot the hamster there he's so well camoflaged lol.

As Drago says you can't beat cardboard boxes and cardboard tubes. I have a box full of boxes and tubes for the hamsters

So a lot has happened over the last couple of days and Bambi's life has been kinda eventful. My sister and her baby have been staying with us for the last few days so Bambi had to be moved out of the spare bedroom so now he's in the hall, I don't think he even noticed to be honest.

My mum had been taking care of Bambi for the last few days because I've been sick - when I went to feed him this morning I noticed that we were completely out of his food. So I managed to convince my sisters boyfriend to take me to pets at home and... They didn't have any of his food in. Typical, right? Sooo I had to buy him some Harry Hamster food, I'd wanted to change him onto HH anyway but I had planned to do it gradually so now I'm worried about him having stomach problems. He seems to like it though, so I guess that's good.

My cousins came back for a visit yesterday and so of course my little cousin just HAD to see Bambi! He was really good with her, I didn't let her hold him but she did stroke him and he took a few treats off her. She was so happy and now she's absolutely adamant that she's getting a hamster. Bambi seems to have that effect on people he's a pretty cool guy.

Glad to hear Bambi is doing well. He's such a friendly and charismatic ham isn't he? So kind with all the kids

I wouldn't worry over suddenly switching to be honest. Though it should be avoided, there are situations where I've had to suddenly switch foods and I've never run into any issues. Hamsters are pretty hardy little critters and will generally handle it just fine. Of course, keep an eye on him and if you notice stomach issues, go back to your old food and mix a bit of the new in, but don't stress yourself out too much

Switches often rarely need to be done gradually,if you're using a high quality probiotic(no artificial ingredients or dextrose, also should be no digest or another unspecified and therefore unspecified biproducts including digest which strangely enough I've seen in probiotics)along with plain pureed pumpkin(natural way of preventing or treating diarrhea among other things).

I think a lot of times people underestimate the digestive systems and take transitioning diets way too seriously, but healthy animals with normal digestive systems rarely if ever have trouble changing their diet especially if it is at least mostly similar in formulation.

Bambi looks very sweet with his millet
As others have said, don’t worry about the sudden switch. When I got Mushu, Pets at Home told me to switch his food gradually. However, it soon became apparent he was eating virtually none of the p@h own brand mix and living exclusively off a diet of sunflower seeds and treats! I was advised to switch him straight onto Harry Hamster which, despite looking virtually identical to the p@h mix, he hoovers up! Mushu has not shown any ill effects of this change at all and we are now over a month later. Just keep an eye on it and Bambi should be fine.

So great Bambi's doing well!
I agree with the others about the switch.

I hope Bambi is doing fine with the switch. I suppose that it's better to do it gradually but I also had to do a sudden change (actually two times) and nothing happened
