Artie and the play box
As Boris has taken over the ranch we decided to give his play box to Artie. Artie is still a bit bitey. Despite all his attitude and moody faces I think he’s really just a little nervous of us still and acting the tough guy. He didn’t get the best of starts and after we rescued him he had to get treated for an abscess so perhaps he is still finding it hard to trust us. Even in the play pen he was bitey and it was hard trying to interact with him as he just wanted to chew your hand off. I felt that all he associated the play pen with was more chances to bite mum! I’m hoping with the play box being a change of scene and somewhere he doesn’t associate with biting he will settle down a bit. Perhaps it is a silly idea though lol. I think he definitely has it in him to be a friendly little guy as we have reached a point now where sometimes he will sit on my hand nicely (and I can actually curl my hand round him rather than the flat palm don’t bite me thing) and let me stroke him Ham-dad still won’t go near him though lol

Anyway here are some pictures of him from in his playbox. He’s been in it a few times now and is getting a little more confident, provided there is plenty food to forage around for.

So, here I am again. I’ve been upgraded to my new plastic jail. There is a good selection of meals here

Lol at the sewage pipe, cigar, plastic pear, plastic jail. That first pic of him peeping over the coloured bendy bridge is so cute. The angelic look, such innocence.

I'm sure you're totally right about Artie's bravado being a big front for his nervousness bless him, fingers crossed he'll continue to gain in confidence & trust & even hamdad won't have to be scared off his biteyness

I do love that first photo, I think it's one of my favourites of him, he looks so soft & snuggly in the second one I just want to reach out & hug him
The cigar & the sewage pipe both made me laugh!
I do like the one of him exploring his plastic pear too.
