Re: Meet Artie
Awww thank you all for the very kind comments and I@m sure Artie-D2 will be delighted to know he's as round as BB-8. He says to tell you all he's been working on that body shape for months, especially for this photo shoot
Artie says he tried to share the mealworms cypher but the BB-8s were too slow to get any

Re: Meet Artie
HeeHEE!!! Artie, I'm sure you tried your absolute best to refrain yourself from gobbling up all the mealworms in a flash, lol. You couldn't help it that BB-8s were too slow. Artie-D2 has a figure of roundness to maintain after all.

Re: Meet Artie
Artie and his sore eye
IMG_3074.JPG
Artie had a trip to the vets on Monday as his eye was looking inflamed and although I'd been bathing in a saline solution it wasn't really improving.
He wasn't very well behaved at the vets, making sure everything had to be a struggle. He was taken to the back room to get some dye in his eye to check for ulcers or damage to his actual eye. The vet enlisted the help of her assistant who I expect was wearing a suit of armour He was returned to us in the consulting room with some lovely luminous yellow splotches on his fur and some eye drops to be administered twice a day for a week. There didn't appear to be any damage to his eye or ulcers so hopefully the eye drops will do the trick. His luminuous yellow splotches are now a fading orange.
Generally he is doing ok and I think his eye looked a little better this morning. He's still eating and drinking but he's not been collecting his scatter feed or using his wheel but perhaps it's best he saves his energy for getting better
On they way home with his colourful splotches

Yesterday morning (splotches under his left eye, but it's the right one that is sore )

Re: Meet Artie
Poor Artie I hope the eye drops do the trick soon & he's all better, maybe he's just a bit upset after his trip to the vets & having the drops put in his eye & that's why he's not using his wheel or hunting out his scatter food, hopefully that's all it is & he'll be back to himself very soon.

Re: Meet Artie
Aww poor Artie's eye. Sounds as though he made his feelings clear to the vet!
After 4 days, I hope the eye drops are having an effect and he continues to improve.
