My tummy aches!! I've laughed so much!!! Your captions are hilarious!! And I'm dying of a cuteness overload! He looks so determined and cute wrestling with his peanut!! LOL

It amazes me, I can't understand how he can looks so upset in the penultimate photo and how sweet he looks in the last one. I would say that they are two completely different hamsters!!

I also wanted to record another video of Blacky with a peanut, but I'm going to wait a little bit because I'm always copying everybody!

BP, I totally LOVE Artie!!! He is so silly and gorgeous, too! I am dying laughing at all of his hilarious antics. Love the pics and all of your captions are marvelous! Hee-HEE!! Giggling at the expressions on Artie's cute face in the last two pics especially!!! Go and show the peanut who's boss!

Today I thought I'd share the outtakes from the HoM competition

Arties first and probably last HoM photo shoot
I thought I'd share some pics from Arties first photoshoot showing how helpful(!) he is with the household chores. It was a dangerous mission for him considering he was to wash dishes and we all know how dangerous water is for hamsters. He was quite enthusiastic to be involved so we took him up on his offer after Pasha ran away the minute he seen the camera and the other 3 were asleep. So Artie it was. I actually think Pasha told Artie he should do it as he would get lots of treats. Pasha is too wise to be bribed these days (he knows that another treat will be along shortly without having to partake in horrible photo shoots).

I really liked (I didn't really but you can only work with what you have lol) the fact that you could barely see Artie against the wall and unit.

"You don't want me to sit in the bowl? This photo shoot needs someone experienced to direct it. I don't want to work with an amateur director and photographer!"


"Where do you want me to sit then? And where's the treats?"


"I'll just go and visit with Max then while you sort this shambles out."
(Ham-Dad doing his best to stop Artie running away)


"What if I stand here then so I can show everyone my nice toned back?"
But it's about you washing the dishes Artie, not showing off your muscles


"What is that Ham-Dad has? Is it a linseed? Pfft, get me a walnut and we'll talk!"
(Ham-Dad tries to bribe Artie with treats to get him back on his bridge so he can wash the dishes. He was being very brave here, he's a bit scared of Artie).


"Has nobody done these dishes yet?" No Artie, you were to do the dishes...


"Pfft, no way, it's dangerous for hamsters to get wet, I'm outta here"
(Ham-parents cry quietly in a corner)

HAHAHAHA I'm the one that is crying after reading this. NONONONO this can't be Artie's last photoshoot. It's so funny! And cute! I really like the photo where ham-dad is trying to bribe him with a linseed, and the next one, he looks like hi is getting ready to jump!

Sometimes they don't want to be cooperative for the HOM but we end up with beautiful and fun photos anyway!

I always think the out takes are far more fun than the perfect contest shot I can't pick a favourite, they are all too good & I'm laughing too much to think that straight!

Can Artie help me with my washing up? I think I'd be more enthusiastic about doing it, with such a cute little helper! That picture where you are pointing at the washing up is so funny. It's like he is saying "You expect me to do what?!". Artie did very well

I love love love the picture of Artie doing the washing up (or not). How utterly cute to have a mini washing up bowl and cups. I want some now!

I love all of Artie's HOM outtake photos! I really liked Artie's HOM photo so this can't be his last photoshoot! I also find that the outtakes are often as good or even better than the desired photo, as it show of their individual personality more - Pumpkin often has her own idea for the perfect photos!
