Default housing hybrids...

I'm adopting two russian dwarves soon, they will probably be from a local pets at home which don't sell campbells and winter whites seperately.... i can only assume they are hybrids. can they be housed together? and does anyone have more ways on how to decrease the chances of them having a fight?

my cage is 100x50cm floor space, i have 2 safe houses, food bowls, wheels and water bottles and i'll be sure to adopt two who look as if they get along!

thanks :)

Yes they can be housed together but may fall out so have a spare cage ready. Many people have found that a slightly smaller cage actually works better for pairs.

I had two roborovski sisters in the multy duna maxi (100 x 50) but they fell out despite having two of everything. They are happy in their separate cages next door to each other.

If they come from P@H they will definitely be hybrids so you need to give a bit more thought to diet as they are prone to diabetes.

They can be housed together but as FF said there is a chance they may fall out & need separate cages, this often happens as they mature even with the best precautions in place.

It does seem to be the case that most pairs that stay together successfully do better in smaller spaces, the more space the more chance they could become territorial & fight.

You need houses with more than one exit, which is probably what you mean by safe houses? i wouldn't use bowls but scatter feed them as there's less chance of fighting or the more submissive one being deprived of food.

If you're new to hybrids or dwarf hams in general I would recommend beginning with a single ham, they don't actually need company & it is more natural for them to live alone & they are very happy to live solitary lives.
