Default How to stop him from biting?

Hello everyone! First of all happy new year, I know I'm a bit late oops.

Bambi has settled in very well and he's really confident and very relaxed. So relaxed that for the first few days we worried that he was deaf since he was so laid back! Thankfully he's not deaf just very stuck up.
He's started to nip constantly when my cousin puts her hand in the cage I don't think it's because he's scared because he'll take treats off her hand and he never runs away.

She washes her hands before handling him and she has tried doing the tissue trick so we were wondering what else she could do to get him more used to her?

It started out as him just nipping but last night he bit really hard and drew blood - he was literally hanging off her finger.
She doesn't want to stress him out but she'd really like tips on how to tame him. Thank you!

(I'm trying to get her to make an account but she's having none of it.)

He sounds like a real feisty one! Make sure when he bites, don't let your cousin pull her hands out quickly, this is just the reward a hamster like this wants. Instead calmly keep your hand in the cage and pet him, and after you get done with that, go wash your hands thoroughly. My best advice is to be patient and persistent with taming. Try taking it slower and just sit near the cage talking calmly to the ham. Leave tissues or toilet paper with your cousins scent on it in his cage so he gets used to it. Then try petting him slowly and having him take treats, and maybe use gloves with your scent on it to avoid being hurt if you were to be bitten. Good luck and remember to be patient

Some hybrids can get a bit territorial & inclined to nip or bite hands that go in the cage, if he only does it when her hand is in the cage she may do better to handle him, offer treats & interact only out of the cage for now at least, once he gets used to being handled more it may become less of an issue.
If she can get him to climb into a jar, tube, box, mug or something he's comfortable with then interact in a safe play area or play pen he may not bite at all.
My female hybrid was very territorial to begin with but fine out of the cage so once she got used to being handled & as long as I respected her space, didn't interfere unnecessarily & didn't go sticking my hand right in her face in the cage she was fine, it just took a little time.
Doing the tissue trick for a longer period may help too.
