Re: Jaska
I hope that his thinning hair will correct itself and is nothing more than typical shedding due to the season. I pray that the extra flax and epo do the trick. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best for cutesy Jaska.
Btw, thanks for sharing the info concerning those adorable felt hammies. I look at their website, and the Little Felt Emporium does amazing pieces. You sure are lucky to get a custom one done for each of your little hammies. If possible, I would love to see the rest of your hamily's felt twins. Lol, Boris's double needing to be rescued from the real Boris. He must have been surprised to come across his 'twin' and was afraid that the naughty felty may get all of his treats and cuddles.

Re: Jaska
Thank you cypher, Lizzy and dreamtree. His bat ears must have been twitching as he was about this morning briefly and was trying to pull my finger in to his cardboard tunnel lol. He's never done that before That's the sort of thing that Boris does
I hadn't thought about it being the weather actually Lizzy. His fur has always seemed thin to me, compared to the others but not patchy. I'll need to try and have a better look but it's hard when he's not around much.
I don't think he's a satin either Cypher, his hair isn't very long at all. We spoke about the wheatgerm before, is that the same as the nutritional yeast? I haven't got any yet but I think I'll get some if there is no improvement by the end of the week.
They do have some lovely things dreamtree, I'm glad you had a look Oh yes I shall definitely be introducing the other feltys

Re: Jaska
So lovely to see more photos of Jaska - he looks very sweet in the hemp seed box!
I do hope his fur thinning is due to the weather and that the EPO and extra flax will help.
Feltie Jaska looks adorable to and very realistic!

Re: Jaska
Aww, how sweet of Jaska to be trying to pull your finger into his tunnel. He just can't get enough of his totally awesome mum. He probably thought that since he is timid at times he could spend more time with you if you just could pull and squeeze you into his hiding spot along with him so he can get more cuddles there instead. Sorry, Jaska, but it might be just a teensy bit of a tight fit for the both of you to fit inside. Nice try anyway, but you just have to come out more to get extra cuddles and treats from your loving mum. It gives her plenty more photo opportunities which are much appreciated, too. Jaska with his bat senses are quite funny, lol. You sure have an amazing, entertaining hamcrew on your hands, BP, and I love each and every one of them.
I'm so excited to meet the rest of your felty hamily as well; thanks for saying you will introduce them to us. It will be awesome to know how each of your hams react to his double. Hehehe!!!!

Re: Jaska
I think the wheatgerm & yeast can have similar benefits BP, I haven't found the hams have been particularly fond of either when I have tried them & wheatgerm goes off so quickly I don't tend to use it generally, I have put yeast flakes in porridge though & it all vanished so either they didn't know it was there or they liked it a lot!

Re: Jaska
Thank you for that Cypher, that's good to know. I think I'll look for the yeast flakes then

Re: Jaska
Jaska’s 1st Birthday
Today is Jaska’s first birthday. I would love to say we’ve come a long way from his very skittish beginnings but I can’t. However what I will say is that we love him very much, He maybe doesn’t know what to do with monkey nuts or pumpkin seeds with shells on them, he doesn’t know how to make a nest with tissue (it just lies where I leave it untouched) but he’s a very special little ham and is so gentle when he does appear that nothing else matters I’m not sure that we’ll see him today or even that I’ll be able to get him to pose with his presents so I thought I’d share a selection of his time with us so far. If I do manage to get any pics of the birthday boy with his presents I shall share them As most of his pics are gone from his thread I thought I would just share a selection from his time with us so far

Re: Jaska
Happy Birthday beautiful Jaska
Hope you have a lovely day with lots of treats & hemp seeds even if you don't want a party I'm sure you will be thoroughly spoiled on your special day
Lovely to see so many photos of him again BP, he's such a handsome little man, I always think the shy ones are extra special in their own way & have a real soft spot for him.
He may prefer the quiet life but it's a life full of love & I'm sure he knows that
