Re: Jaska
Oh Jaska you are a very brave and very beautiful boy and it's such a delight to see you, I'd love to see more of you but totally understand your shyness.
BP, I sat with a huge grin at the blueberry pic and his coat is so glossy so perfect.

Re: Jaska
Oh, yippee for brave, tiny Jaska for making such a lovely appearance! I couldn't help grinning from ear to ear at such cuteness. Jaska looks incredible tiny nest to the giant blueberry, and he certainly looks like he is enjoying it tremendously. He may not come out as often, but when he does, it is truly memorable and special indeed. I know that you must be such an extremely proud mum, BP, and I'm truly happy for you and Jaska. What truly adorable pics of the handsome sweetie pie. I love this little one so much.

Re: Jaska
Oops I've just realised I hadn't thanked you all for your lovely comments about Jaska, so thank you everyone
His fur is looking quite thin in places, you can't really see from the pics because my blurry photo skills seem to do a good job of hiding it or I use the ones that you can't see the thin fur patches. I've wondered if it is because he has black fur so his skin underneath is more obvious but I don't think so really. I'm giving him linseeds and EPO so hopefully that will help.
Here are a couple of pictures of him and his felt lookalike. See if you can spot which is the feltie and which is the real Jaska lol
Jaska loves hemp seeds but even though he was in the box he refused to take any because he was no uncomfortable at being out his cage.

So we don't forget what he looks like from one appearance to the next

Oh Jaska, please don't be nervous. We love seeing you!
That felt Jaska is amazing! Did you make it? Has Jaska ever "met" the felt him?

Re: Jaska
Bless Jaska, I too love seeing you. You're so soft & perfectly rounded from the back.
I do love the felt Jaska. Oh it would be weird for Jaska if he came face to face with it.

Re: Jaska
Oh, no, Jaska! Don't run away from the hemp seeds; they are absolutely harmless - I promise! Poor, Jaska. . . he can't even eat one of his favorite treats with risk of being spotted outside of his security home. It breaks my heart for him to be that skittish. Well, bravery has to be taken in tiny baby steps, I suppose, and Jaska has already been extremely brave in his latest outing with the humongous blueberry. Maybe he thought that he was well disguised posing as a blueberry in his latest pic, lol. I couldn't help giggle at Jaska's felt impersonator. What a brilliant idea to create a double so he can be seen even when he's not. Btw, that felt Jaska is totally amazing, BP! Did you create it yourself, and if so, was it extremely difficult to do? I would love to have something like that for Eros. I have never seen a felt hammy before. What a brilliant idea, and it looks so much like him, too!

Re: Jaska
Aww poor Jaska running away from his hemp seeds!
It is hard to see his fur condition in the photos, more his colour than your photo skills I think! I hope the flax & EPO begin to make a difference soon, let us know how it goes.
His felt double does look very realistic there lol!

Re: Jaska
Thank you so much cypher, dreamtree, AP and Lizzy
As much as I would love to say that I made the little feltie, I didn't. I'm terrible at anything like that. I actually had them made by the little felt emporium on etsy. I sent them pictures of the hams and they made them up, even ordering in special red eyes for Max. Jaska hasn't met his feltie yet. Boris has met his though but I had to rescue it from him I am looking forward to introducing them all to their felties though
I'm hoping the extra flax and epo will help too and that there isn't anything more sinister going on. I do know though that there are different fur types with Campbells so I'm going to have a look at that again (if I can find where I saw it).

Re: Jaska
His thinning fur, Could it be to do with the weather? I notice a difference in Harvey's coat during winter and summer.

Re: Jaska
Satin campbells fur can look a bit thin, it usually longer but tends to look wet (& messy lol!) hard to tell but Jaska doesn't look like a satin so I wouldn't think it's that.
I hope there's nothing sinister going on too! It may just be that he has a thinner coat, hybrids can vary so much, he might not like it but you could try nutritional yeast along with the flax & epo, can't remember if I mentioned that before or not now!
