I love the photo of Jaska rolling in his sand bath! - I always loved watching Honey and Caramel rolling around in theirs and it something I really miss watching!
He looks very cute covered in sand - the natural sandy look really does suit him!
I'm looking forward to Jaska next outing!

Jaska is so cute! What kind of treat is the light colored one with maroonish on the top? It looks very good. I loved seeing jaska rolling and then leaving with sand all over him

OMG. It's done, I don't mind if he is shy or whatever. I'm going to hamnap him!! He is the cutest thing! He looks adorable with the and all over him, and he is so tiny and sweet!!! I'm in love!

SKB I love watching them in their sand baths too, not a big fan of the sand getting everywhere but it's worth it to see them enjoying themselves so much.

Drago I got the treat from Rodipet (though I can't see it on their website atm) but this is what a whole one looks like https://www.amazon.co.uk/ZooDi-Zoodi.../dp/B01N1GT1OG. It's quite big so we tried to cut it up (it fell apart) and just rationed it out. Everyone seemed to enjoy it apart from Jaska and Max but 3/5 is ok lol.

Hahaha Hamsterita. I'm sure Jaska thinks to himself "I'll be as brave as Blacky when I'm as big as him" lol

I saw the full treat and it was very cool looking! The US doesn't have such nice and natural treats as those. Mostly, our treats are dyed and unhealthy junk snacks (though of course other countries have those as well). It's just harder to find good treats here

A bit off topic, but I notice you're from Scotland (my grandparents were actually from there as well). I just read somewhere that the official animal there is the "unicorn"! Is that true?

Lol, I'm going to sound really silly now but I didn't actually know that! I just looked it up when I read your post. I would have expected it to be a stag or a haggis(lol). I'm going to need to ask around my family and see if they knew that. I wish it was a hamster though

Love these pics of Jaska, so delighted you got lots of pics, he's such a beauty and I laughed so much, I ended up having a coughing fit watching him in his sandbath. I so love this little man.

BP, I can't get over how absolutely ADORABLE Jaska is. I totally love that he is black with white-tipped ears, a white underside stripe, and the tiniest of white socks. I think it is SO precious how he hides behind all things as if he couldn't be seen. He reminds me of a little toddler playing hide-n-seek with family and friends, but he can't help but peek out his head as if he is still being hidden just the same. Jaska makes me chuckle! The combination of pics, videos, and your commentary of him rolling around and proudly coming out speckled with sand is thoroughly entertaining. I am laughing so hysterically right now that I am also now having a coughing fit, too. He may be timid and incognito most of the time, but when Jaska graces us with an appearance he surely knows how to evoke so much laughter and "ooohs and awes" from all of us. I am SO happy that he is becoming much less illusive now, and I hope he continually comes out more for you. You are such a patient and loving mum, and he and your entire hamily are so lucky to have you.

I can't wait to see him again. I LOVE him!!!!
