Re: Jaska
Thank you Cypher, Lizzy and Hamsterita
Yes Cypher I find myself standing there holding my breath at times so as not to scare him, glad it's not just me that does things like that lol.
He is a very quiet little guy but then if I had 5 Boris's I think I'd be climbing the walls lol.
He does seem happier with the red light though and he now casually saunters around rather than bolting all over the place which is a relief to me because I hated seeing him doing that. Hope you manage to get your red light soon Hamsterita, they really are good. I like that I can investigate if I hear a noise without having to put the main light on

Re: Jaska
Aww bless him! It's a shame the Jaska is so shy as he is so cute as but it's good that he has loving understandable owners! It's very difficult especially when they are really sensitive to sound and movement! But I'm sure he know how lucky he is to have a home with you! But glad the red lights help him brave coming out.

Re: Jaska
Thanks SKB
The lesser-spotted Jaska
As is said by David Attenborough I had the rare treat of seeing the “lesser-spotted” Jaska today and in the daylight! He’s still pretty reclusive and visits from him still rare. The red light is still helping in the evenings as we see him some nights but not for very long and when we do I give him plenty sunflower seeds to take to his stash.
The pics are a bit blurry due to me shaking with excitement and Jaska’s horror at being caught out and about in the daylight.
Ahhhhh you’ve found me!
You can’t see me! I’m not here! It’s an illusion, a trick of the light!
Oh no, she moved the loofah thing
I’ll just try to act casual, like I don’t care she seen me and stroll over here
I’m not sure about this, maybe I should make a run for it or I could..
..sit nicely and get some seeds while I’m here then bye bye and see you in a week or two or three Mum!

Re: Jaska
Finally catching up on this thread- Jaska is absolutely gorgeous. He reminds me of one of those tuxedo cats. I love black and white Russians

Re: Jaska
I'm glad to see the lesser spotted Jaska! Or perhaps that should be the lesser striped Jaska? The white stripe down his front is so cute.

Re: Jaska
AWWWW he's being so brave!! On Saturday 7th it was the mother's day here in Spain, maybe this was his gift to you!! Good boy!! I love his photos, he looks like he's smiling. He is a very handsome and cute little ham. I hope we can see more of him from now on! With our without bribes
I would swear that my hanging thingy (the one with the green yellow and orange loofa and the balls) is smaller than mine. is it possible that there are several sizes?

Re: Jaska
Thank you Drago, Cypher, AP, SKB, Hamstertia and Lizzy
Hamstertia I went and measured the hanging loofa thing and it was 21cm, while I was there I measured the other boys loofas too. They were all between 21-22cm (from the top of the hanging bit to the bottom of the green bits.
Jaska and the tasty sprouts
Jaska has been out and about again. When I saw him I rushed down to the kitchen to get his sprouts and managed to get back before he disappeared! I got a few pics of the phantom ninjaska and even a short video. This is the first ever video of Jaska woo hoo.
Jaska’s video debut. Look at the way he manages to keep the pot standing upright! Everyone else would have had it knocked over and be making a noise banging on everything, not Jaska though.

I’m shy.
I’ll try and be brave so I can eat these green things
This is my best shy face.
