Thank you all for the get well wishes. Boris has been doing very well though he sometimes seems a little confused but he was a bit like that before all this happened. It was all just such a huge shock. We really thought we were going to loose him, especially after the vets telling us to prepare ourselves on the 23rd and the 24th. We were relieved to see him behaving a little more normally on Christmas Day, it was the best Christmas present ever. He's been going from strength to strength and although he has lost a little weight he seems to be eating normally again

It's so good to hear how Boris is continuing to improve, it was such a scare & such a huge relief to hear how he's pulled through, he really is a star bless him

Such great news to hear Boris's health is continuing to improve. That must have been a very worrying few days for you but such as relief that Boris pulled through - I can understand what an amazing present that was for you!

Thank you cypher, coco, SKB and Lizzy. He is certainly a lot more like his usual self again, full of mischief as usual. His latest game is to lift the wire holding his water bottle to the bars so that the water bottle falls on the floor

I have no idea how he manages it but where Boris is concerned, where there's a will there's a way

I thought I'd share a couple of videos of my snuggly boy.

Boris decided that as it was the New Year that some shopping for some new soft furnishings was in order. He took quite a liking to my red cozy jumper. I could almost hear him saying "This would look good in my house...what do you think mum?"

In other less happy news Pasha isn't doing very well. He seems to be finding it very hard to eat even though he seems to be hungry. His kidney is also extremely swollen now and I think we're starting to feel that it is time we helped him to the bridge.

I'm grateful that we've managed to spend another 2 months with him after his initial diagnosis, and the vet thinking that he wouldn't have long, but it still doesn't seem long enough and I wish I could have more time with my special King Floof. He is so skinny now with the exception of his kidney. I thought I was feeling braver today, after coming to the decision yesterday, to type this but I'm finding it hard to hold back the tears. We have an appointment for Tuesday morning and we'll see what she thinks when she sees him. As much as I'll keep hoping that it miraculously disappears or the vet has some fantastic new treatment for him I think I know in my heart what the outcome will be.
