I'm happy he still seems ok in himself, though I noticed that his kidney was really protruding now. I keep hoping for a miracle and that somehow it will just go away. I gave him a flaked almond yesterday when he was sitting in his mug and he sat nibbling away. When he finished I gave him another one but he didn't want it. He went to great lengths to walk out the mug so he could thrown it away It's good to see he's still my Pasha despite everything

It's good to hear Pasha is still doing well and is being himself. It was so sweet hearing that he walked a distance to throw the other piece of almond away.
We seem to be having good days and not so good days. Or it's probably more like I'm having good days and bad days with things. Pasha still seems very and alert. His ears are always up and his eyes are still bright and shiny but he really doesn't trust us at all anymore which I'm finding upsetting. I know it's because he just doesn't understand but it's still sad. I'm hoping to just stop the critical care altogether if we can find enough variety of things that he'll eat. He'll eat some soaked science selective but not enough to sustain him but he's still eating his veg, Greek yogurt and baby rice, baby food and some little peices of nuts. It sounds like quite a lot but he's only really eating very little of it. I've got some alternatives coming later in the week so hopefully he will enjoy them!

I can imagine how up & down things must be, it really is hard but Pasha has been doing so well, he's an amazing little guy, it's sad that he doesn't trust you the way he did after all he's been through, it's a struggle finding the right foods but I hope you can find a way to stop the critical care & give both him & you a break from that.
How's Snappy doing? Is he eating any more yet or not?

Thank you cypher He won't take anything you offer to him, he just sniffs and side paws bedding in my direction Once you put it down he will take more interest in it. He always had a little bit of an attitude, so in some ways it's nice to see that he's still him, but he was never like that when you offered him food. He couldn't get at it fast enough!
We're still waiting to get Snappy's results. The vet phoned us on Friday to say they'd had the results back but the lab hadn't referenced normal ranges, so she was going to have to look out the one research journal that has the info and she only works Tues, Wed and Thurs. Fingers crossed we will hear this week. I weighed him this morning and he was 41g which was the same as last Monday and Thursday so at least he's not lost anymore. Everything is still getting stuffed in his cheeks to get added to his monster stash though!

That's good news that his weight has been stable for a week, he must be eating reasonably well to manage that, fingers crossed he'll manage to gain something soon too.
Hope the results don't take too long now, it's frustrating to have to wait not knowing.
If that stash keeps on growing you might have to move him to the plaza just so he has room to move!

I'm sorry that Pasha hasn't accepted taking food from you as much lately. I know it is disheartening for you, but please try your best to remember that he does love you all very much and I'm sure he knows that you are trying your very best to help him become better as best as you can, BP. I hope that the vet will be able to discuss Snappy's lab results with you very soon. I know it must be very difficult not knowing. I will be praying for the very, VERY best for both Pasha and Snappy. I think you're right about the plaza cypher It would be good for someone to use it, apart from Boris's visits to it when he decided he's bored with his ranch. Though no doubt Boris would decide he wanted to move in if he thought someone else was going to get it lol.
