Re: Boris & Pasha
Hang in there BP, you are doing such a great job taking care of your boys & Pasha is doing so well at the moment, I know it's so hard when you don't really know what each day will bring or how long you might have with your lovely King Floof but he sounds content & I'm sure he appreciates all the love & care he's getting from you, you can only really take it one day at a time & you know him so well you will always know the right thing to do for him. You can't do more for him than you are & I do understand how hopeless & helpless it can leave you feeling but just try to enjoy your time together as I'm sure he is right now.
It must be especially hard having Snappy away from home & not knowing what's going on with him right now but hopefully he'll be home with you & his brothers again very soon & you'll find a way to help him thrive again.
Thinking of you & sending lots of healing hugs to your boys & hugs to you too.
Lovely photos of them both.

Re: Boris & Pasha
Hang on, BP, you’re doing everything you can, I know it! It’s devastatingly hard when your precious pet is sick and you can help only so much. You’re being there for him and you’re doing your best to help him. I’m sure he’s thankful and is very happy that you’re his mommy.

Re: Boris & Pasha
It's certainly a difficult time for you right now BP but you are doing all the right things.
I can understand your worries and concerns, even tears when you dread what might be around the corner. But you love Pasha and Snappy and all of the hamily and they will know that and feel it too. As cypher said, enjoy the time you have with Pasha. Snappy may be home tomorrow and you may be able to feed him up a bit.

Re: Boris & Pasha
We're here for you BP, hang on tight you're doing a great job, it may not feel like it but I see your devotion and love here. I would've done the same regarding the test where the needle goes in the kidney, it would've been stressful for him and yourself. Take each day as it comes, some may be harder than others but Pasha knows you're doing all you can and will be glad the meds is twice a day instead of 5.
Sending big Ham-hugs from Master Harvey and myself xxx
Sorry to hear that Snappy's been at the vet and been kept in, got my fingers crossed he's home with you very soon.
Sending lots of love to you and your boys.

Re: Boris & Pasha
I'm so sorry that Pasha's diagnosis wasn't a better one. We are all here for you and I will continue to pray for and send lots of hugs and best wishes to you, ham-dad, and your darling Pasha. I totally understand not wanting to have Pasha to go through the needle test in the kidney just to receive the same prognosis. Since he didn't take the meds well, it is also justified that you reduced the number of doses per day of the meds. You want him to enjoy his quality of life for as long as he has with you, and you are doing all that you can to ensure that he is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. He is truly lucky to have such an amazing and loving mum and dad to watch over and care for him. Take one day at a time and treasure every moment with your little one. Keep spoiling him and making memories. I am also terribly sorry to hear that Snappy had to stay overnight at the vet's office. Hopefully, he/she will be able to tell what is the cause of his weight loss. I will be wishing for good news and that he will be able to come home with you and hamdad soon. We are here for you always, BP! I know that these past few days have been extremely stressful, disheartening, and overwhelmingly sad, but you are an amazing mum and your hamily knows that you are doing all that you can and love them all so dearly. I am sending hugs to you and hamdad and cuddles to your entire hamily (extra ones for Pasha and Snappy), and Eros and Snickers are sending tons of whisker kisses, too.

Re: Boris & Pasha
We are all hear to support you through everything you are going through at the moment. You are doing everything you can for Pasha and I'm sure he extremely grateful to the special care he is receiving. I think you have made the right decisions regarding his treatment - it must be very difficult to feed Pasha the critical care - as I know how hard it is to when I had to give it to them as when Sherbet was unwell I was given it to give to her but she hated it so instead I made wet food from science selective pellets and weighed her bowl before and after to measure how much she had eaten.
I understand how hard it is not to worry and feel tearful when they are unwell as you feel so hopeless than you cant make them better - it is hard but try to realised you are providing Pasha with the best quality of care.
I am also sorry to hear that Snapdragon has been to the vet to - I have my fingers firmly crossed that everything will be okay.
Pumpkin and myself are keeping you as well as both Pasha and Snapdragon in our thoughts and wishing them the very best!

Re: Boris & Pasha
Thank you for all your lovely messages, it helps so much
Pasha is doing ok, he's a little happier at the reduced dose of the critical care. What has also been nice is that I've seen him out and about of his own accord during the day and not just because he's been woken up. He's also been eating a little of his normal food, but seems to have decided that Greek yogurt is the best thing ever. We tried him on some baby rice too which he seemed to enjoy. We're just trying to give him a variety of different things every day in the hope that something takes his fancy. He's still tucking in to his veg and enjoying a piece of apple, using his toilet and he's even been on his wheel a couple of nights in a row! I think he's doing as well as can be expected. I've stopped weighing him every day and just doing it every few days and he seems to be maintaining his weight. Before all this we'd ordered some of the rodipet hybrid senior food to try. Well, the smell was so horrible I wanted to throw it away but Pasha tucked right in (I'm sure he's just pretending he likes it to get his own back on us for his meds and critical care food). He hasn't eaten any of the big bugs that are in it though

Re: Boris & Pasha
That is all very good news BP, must be reassuring for you to see Pasha improve.
I had the senior mix from Rodipet pet for Mocho. I mixed a little in with his Harry Hamster to provide a variety. He tucked into it too but not the insects!

Re: Boris & Pasha
It's so good to hear how well Pasha has been doing, he really is an amazing little guy
I had to laugh at him tucking right in to the smelly food lol! If those big bugs are the silk worm pupa things I'm not surprised, they smell worse than mealworms & are a bit of a mouthful for a little dwarf, most of mine have totally ignored them to except Zeki who actually likes them!
Keep up the good work Pasha, & you BP you're giving him such wonderful TLC.
