Tinwe the fluffy, shaggy, brave & very handsome. I love pics of your special man eating his greens.
He gets more handsome in his older age. Makes my heart flutter.

My sweet little old man has become very frail over the last few days or so
He’s more unsteady on his legs & just seems to have suddenly aged more, he was always the first to come out for veg in the evening that little nose appearing at his door as soon as I put the dish in but now it takes him a while to come out & he just has a sniff, doesn’t seem to know what he really wants & goes back to bed, he does eat some in the night & still has favourites, broccoli of course & red pepper which always gets taken into his house & then he leaves the skin at the door when he’s done! He is eating some of his food but not much, enjoys his mealworms & his flowers so he is managing ok & seems content enough & managing everything he needs although he does seem to appreciate a little help from mum when he's a bit wobbly.
When I clean his house out he usually goes in his carrier to munch on a meal worm, comes out for cuddles then has a little run in his wheel before going back to bed but he’s very reluctant to come out in the evening now, the other night I got him out & he really didn’t want to go anywhere so I ended up cleaning the house with one hand while he slept in the other!
I’ve been giving him some poly aid mixed with his favourite baby cauliflower cheese the last couple of nights & that seems to have perked him up a little bit, the first night not being sure he’d like it I put another little bit of cauliflower cheese with his veg but it was all gone in the morning & he had the bit with his veg when he came out for his second breakfast!
He still has a problem with his eye so he’s having drops for that & I’m hoping he won’t need another vet trip, it doesn’t normally stress him out to much but I think it probably would now.
Not all bad & I know he’s a good age but it’s still sad to see him decline & I just hope he’ll remain comfortable & we still have some time together for a while yet.

Oh no I'm sorry to hear that Tinwë has become so frail the last few days, must be a real worry for you He still sounds like a very considerate boy though, leaving the red pepper skin at the door for you. Artie is like that too in the evening, comes out for a sniff but doesn't seem to know what he wants or what he wants to do and goes back to his bed. It's hard to see them not being as interested in food as they once were. It does sound as though the poly aid and cauliflower cheese has given him a nice boost

Aww at him sleeping in your hand though when you were cleaning his house, bless him

Stay strong little fluffy dumpling, hugs to you cypher x

Bless him it’s always a shame when they slow down, happy to hear that he’s still enjoying himself though, now that he’s getting more cauliflower cheese he must be happy! Fingers crossed a vet trip isn’t needed too.
Also how sweet that he slept in your hand during house cleaning! Sounds adorable.

Dear sweet Tinwe, a good age for your splendid little gentleham. A little smile at him sleeping in your hand while you dealt with his cage. Glad he enjoys his veggie treats still and ever considerate putting the skin outside for you. His decline is sad, but gentle and full of love, cypher.

Thanks both, it is a sad time but special too in a way as every moment is cherished even more than usual, hopefully he'll stay happy & enjoying his treats & no intervention will be needed.

I'm so gutted to read this cypher about your cherished boy, it's never easy when they start to slow down. I smiled at the bit where Tinwe still leaves the skin of the red pepper at the door, he has such cute ways of doing things a certain way. My heart melted at him sleeping in your hand, he's such a happy and loved guy and you are doing a wonderful job.
Sending both of you big Love-hugs xxx
