Two grumpy gentlemen...
On my way home today I went to pick up the two newest additions to the rescue, two hybrid brothers.
It's a bit of a long story. A couple of weeks ago I was contacted about an advert of a Syrian and two 'Chinese' hamsters being sold. I contacted them with advice, mentioned 'Chinese' hamsters shouldn't be kept together ect...well, the owner re-homed them and the Syrian to someone.
A few days later I am contacted because the person who bought them said the two Dwarf hamsters were too small and fast for her, though she wanted to keep the Syrian. So, off I went to collect the two hybrids today.
There is a bit of a personality different. The one is more hyper, while the other more laid back. Unfortunately I don't think they have had any handling at all besides being scruffed.
They didn't have anything in their cage apart from bedding and a water bowl, so I've moved them to a Duna Multy and kept it 'simple' in the hopes that they are okay together, for now at least.
Sorry for the poor quality pics, they were taken with my phone.

Re: Two grumpy gentlemen...
I've had another handle of the white one, and I think it's more that they are afraid because of the poking/scruffing than actual aggression as they are fine one on the gloves.
I didn't have a big enough bowl so instead got a tub to use as a bowl, I didn't want it to be small so that they'd fight. They also love their sand bath - at least the white one does. I didn't think he would ever get out of it.

Another grand rescue. These beautiful little ones are on their way to a good life now that they have found their way into your capable hands SinNyx.

Re: Two grumpy gentlemen...
Thank you DrKMcK
They are a bit on the feisty side but I'm going to set up my playpen over the weekend and see how they do with me in it with them, I think it would help them greatly.

Re: Two grumpy gentlemen...
Grumpy because they are a bit nippy, but they are better today, still using gloves but there was no nipping.
I want to try them in my playpen tomorrow.

Re: Two grumpy gentlemen...
I had the boys in the playpen today, here are some of the pictures I took.
They are still getting along well, though they prefer to do their own thing.
