Dusty's Thread

I thought it'd be a good idea to give Dusty her own thread

Dusty came home with me on the 28th July this year, and since then has been such an amazing ham! I couldn't have asked for another like her <3 She is so tame, loves a little cuddle and is hilarious to watch. She never fails to make me laugh or smile every day. Being bullied by her litter mates before I got her, evident by the small wound on her face and a dominant white hybrid chasing her round whilst 'buzzing' at her, I thought she'd be a shy, fearful hamster, but she's the exact opposite. I think she prefers humans to hamsters

She's had two cage upgrades- from a mini duna to a zoozone 1, and from that to an alaska. She continues to become more active with the extra space and some of her antics make me laugh out loud- she does the 'shark' (what I like to call it!), where she burrows under her fitch. The Fitch begins to move as she burrows around the cage and then she pops her head out wondering why I'm laughing Some of the faces she comes out with, like this:

LOLOLOLOLOL! Great narrative. I love the ending May she have all the peanuts she wants. And, yes, her shelf is very cool. I think Dusty's thread is going to be a hit.

Thankyou so much! Hehe, peanuts are her absolute favourite treats, she will do anything for them .

Awww dusty is such a sweetie! Loving the thread.

Her set up looks fab, Apollo is nuts for nuts too...his fav are pecans and monkey nuts! Think he just likes getting them out of the shells lol!!!

Hope you keep the thread updated with more pics, she is adorable!

Thanks Bec Glad you like the thread! I have to open most of the shell for her when giving her monkey nuts because she's too lazy to do it all herself I'll definitely keep the thread updated when I get new pics.

Thanks SinNyx! She loves to burrow, I call her name and she peaks her little head out of the fitch. Its so cute

Dusty loves to rummage through her food bowl and hoover up the seeds




Then she saw me taking pictures and demanded attention.




So I took her out for some cuddles and a little toddle about on my lap




Eventually she became a little bored, so she went back into her alaska and was greeted with a delicious mealworm
