My ebay Bargain Cage!!

Hi Just wanted to share this with you as I'm kinda proud of myself. It was my first DIY hammie project!

Well, I bought this glass cage for £16 and collected it form Oxford which is about an hour and a half drive. (See 1st pic)

It is such a great space and bigger than I expected it to be. The one problem was that the glass shelves and ladders made a horrible scraping noise, there were some chips and chunks out of the glass peices so I decided to coat all the edges of these with gaffer tape (See 2nd pic) It was'nt really very safe and I was so worried about chipping more pieces off.

This looked pretty good so I went all around the edges of the tank its self with gaffer tape too and it is now looking much neater and like new! (see pic 3) It has a sort a space feel with the silver tape!

And I just couldn't wait so I filled it with megazorb and toys all ready for a new addition! (see pics 4 & 5)

So much for it being kept as a spare! I don't think that it will be empty for too long lol!

No idea really I was thinking about mice, but it might be a syrian - my mum wants me to get a sable, well, as she says 'the one with the eye rings!' She is more excited about the new cage than I am! lol

Either a pair of mice or a syrain would both be great for it!

WOW Im so Jelous!!! It's massive! The gaffa tape looks so profesinal your new addition will love it I might try one aswell

It was way easier than I thought Wofunny, if I can do it anyone can I am rubbish at DIY and have very little patience! Give it a go if you get the chance!
