Re: pooing in his bed
Snickers always leaves her poos at the door of her house, Jabba should be okay but not sure how you could get him to go anywhere else. Prehaps try putting the poos in his littertray, he might get the idea.

Re: pooing in his bed
Wow! $15 is alot for a litter tray, I guess if you continue to clean the house he will be fine.

You could use an old jam jar (washed out of course), or a old mug/cup etc. As long as its big enough for him to get in and out without getting stuck. Just pop it on its side and save your money. Pooing in bed isn't a problem though.

I have the same problem I'm afraid! Well, not me personally, my hammy Jesse!
She uses her igloo where she sleeps and her wheel as her chosen toilet spots. They both get washed out every other day, stinky mare

Re: pooing in his bed
yes this is perfectly normal, if its a particularly bad then i just remove some of the dirty bedding and poo.
But liek suga said a litter tray needn't be expensive, or bought for that matter. I use cardboard and plastic food trays.
You don't even need to buy special hamster litter, normal sand or bedding will be fine.

Great idea, Suga. I used to use a jar for my gerbils, can't beleive I forgot that.

Re: pooing in his bed
As far as I know poo doesn't harm them. I'm not sure if they eat their poo in the way other animals (cows, sheep, rabbits) do though.
