Default Bamboo Root

Hi! I got a bamboo root for my Syrian hamster, how should I sanitise it? I don't think it'll fit in my oven so that option is out.
The website I purchased it says, "Please note this is raw untreated wood, Sanitisation is recommended before using. You can wipe the piece and leave under full sun for a day. As natural wood comes with holes and gaps, you may want to stuff them with moss/bedding to prevent any potential dangers."

Should I freeze it and then put it under the sun? Just want to be extra careful. And what should I wipe it down with?

I got it from here - Bamboo Roots - natural hamster cage decor

Vinegar and water is all natural and great for sanitizing. Definitely freeze and leave under the sun but perhaps in between the two you could mist with vinegar and water. (1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water)
