Default Woodlands Stick and Nut Chew

Has anyone else bought a Woodlands Stick and Nut Chew from Pets @ Home? It's a string with four sticks of wood with bark on them, separated by hard ball-thingies and with a whole walnut in the middle. I can't find an internet link, unfortunately. My question is, is the string safe? Toffee went mental trying to break into the walnut (I cracked it for him, in the end), but I'm concerned about him chewing or eating the string. It all looks like natural ingredients - what do you think?

Never really thought about the string, I just assumed they are ok. In my head, it's all biodegradable and ok for MY digestive system heh. If Chewy was like that with his, I'd keep a close eye on him and perhaps only let him have it when I am about.

I proper love the Woodlands products though.

I have a brief association with that toy, as it was in our home for all of 10 minutes and hanging inside Pippa's cage for 5 of those minutes before she ripped it apart like a Great White Shark. I assume the string is safe because all that remained of it once she was done were shreds.

3 of my hamsters had them, I think they're fine since they're natural. 2 are still in tact... Rocha ripped up his though and dragged it to his bed...

Spud has it and went a bit wild when I initally put it in, but he doesn't really touch it now.

Maisie has one too, she likes to chew on the ends of the sticks, and tried climbing up on it by grabbing the string at the bottom. I assume the string will be ok with it as all the natural things seem to be well thought out for your hammie. Just keep an eye on him
