How do you secure the lid on the Ferplast Duna Multy?
Its just arrived this morning, I'm very excited. I've got the wire bit that fills the hole in the lid, also a plastic bag with 4 plastic bits. Just really not sure what goes where! Help please!

Re: How do you secure the lid on the Ferplast Duna Multy?
hmmm now let me try to remember
The wire lid on mine had to be pushed into plastic grippers that were built into one side of the opening of the top - you didnt have to add anything additionally, it just pushed in and clunked into place
the plastic bits might be for holding the top plastic half onto the bottom plastic half at each end - cant remember how they fit exactly but again they kinda push into place!
sorry im not alot of help

yeah exactly...you have to pusch the wire into the plastic grippers...but be careful. when i did it alone the plastic part got a wee crack on the side. the other time i did it with somebody else and it worked better. one person has to pull the plastic grippers apart while the other persons oushes the wire bid in

Re: How do you secure the lid on the Ferplast Duna Multy?
It was a bit fiddly to get the wire lid securely into the plastic "hinge" slots; mine kept pinging out every time I raised/lowered the lid, but I think I was being too gentle fixing it into the slots, and eventually, with someone holding the wire part, I pressed the plastic slot upwards from underneath, and the wire downwards - it made a loud "twang" and was secure. There should be 2 small white toggles which push into holes on the opposite side of the lid, these turn from side to side to unlock or hold the lid down, and also 2 larger plastic clips to hold clear lid and base together. I know this might seem obvious, but when using the side clips, press exactly over the ridged part, and it clips together easily (I was pressing in the wrong place and making life hard for myself!!)

FYI when working with plastic, you can soften it temporarily by putting a hair dryer blowing on it for about 1 minute on medium or high heat. Careful not to burn yourself. Then slot in what you need to - after 10 minutes or so the plastic will be fully cool again.

I'm liking the hairdryer tip! My Multy comes today so I may be following your ideas tonight!
