Default Intriguing cage

I'm intrigued by this cage which has been kindly donated to me. I've never seen it before and it will eventually benefit a rescue dwarf.

It's roughly the size of a Hamster Heaven, maybe a bit smaller, haven't measured it yet.
It has a small bar spacing, a large front dooor but no top door.
It has this large, removable wire shelf and ramp.

Does anyone know what this cage is called?

I'm planning on leaving the platform in because its a good base for a big sandbath and a wheel but need to cover it with something solid like a thin sheet of wood then plastikote it.
The ramp i could cut off or attach a bendy bridge to it.

It's the savic mickey, basically the same basic cage as the hamster heaven with slightly smaller bar spacing.
I have one & just binned the shelf & ramp.

Thank you cypher. I heard of the Savic Mickey but didn't know what it looked like.

Yes, it's a Mickey 2XL. I have one too. It's a lovely cage - much sturdier than the Hamster Heaven and without the annoying tube caps. I threw away the platform as well.

Yes it's a Savic Mickey 2XL - Pickle is in mine currently! It's a great cage. And much more expensive than the Hamster Heaven strangely. It is actually a hamster heaven without the penthouse and tubes and narrow bar spacing. I also binned the metal grid shelf. Be warned the tubes it comes with are mouse sized and syrians can get stuck in them.

I would definitely bin the metal shelf. Even if you covered it, it takes up a lot of space in the cage. I ended up just setting up the empty cage from scratch and using a flat roofed house as a shelf plus a smaller shelf over it.

The reason it is such a great cage is it's suitable for any species of hamster due to the narrow bar spacing, so futureproof. I've had a Syrian and a Robo in it (at different times). Tehnically it's a cage for mice (hence "Mickey" I think). There are various Savic Mickey cages - the others are much smaller. The 2XL means it's the big one.

I'd really like to give it a go of setting it up for a Robo because the bar spacing is so small. The door closes on the first bar and not on the second one like the Hamster Heaven. Is that the way it should be?

The door should close on the second bar for optimal security. Bramble escaped a couple of times when it was only on the first bar. I think the door can be a bit stiffer than the Hamster Heaven door though.
