Default Comfort Wheel Concern

Hello!
My hamster wasn't using his wheel for a long time and i was a little concerned that his Savic roly wheel was too small or uncomfy so i purchased the large comfort wheel.
My concern about this wheel is that there are ridges on it all the way around the inside of the wheel. I'm worried that Tofu could catch his foot on one and hurt himself. Is that possible? What anybody else have a comfort wheel and are they safe? Thanks xxx

The comfort wheel has been my choice of wheel for several years. My hamsters have never had an issue with them. The only issue is that they can cause a bit of racket, but that is usually solved with veg oil or vaseline, though over time, the spindle can wear away to nothing with frequent lubrication.

I used to use the comfort wheel but it made too much noise so I changed to wodent wheels

I never had any problem with the ridges, I think its just to give them a bit more grip on the wheel

One of my Syrians is using an 8" comfort wheel and it does make too much noise but I don't really care 'cause I fall asleep easily. He loves it and he runs more than ever since his back stays flat while running. No problems with the ridges so far either
