Hi, no my hamster hasn’t stopped doing this unfortunately. When he has deep bedding and lots of enrichment he chews and climbs the bars and then falls on his back in some awful looking falls. Then, when I make the bedding etc low enough so he can’t reach the top, he chews all the little indents round the side of his cage as well as the sides when the clips are and any other part of the cage.

I have given up with the maxi multy now, especially as the inside measurements are a lot less than advertised because they measure the distance to the clips on the outside for the length and the wider lip on each side for the width. After a lot of research, I have ordered a 120x50x50 hamster tank from Junglepets. It is all glass so he can’t chew it and it is a lot taller so he can’t reach the top even with everything in. Hope this helps
