How to repair a cage
My hamster has chewed a big hold in the plastic part of the Ferplast Criceti 15 cage roof. This means that the toggle things no longer hold the cage lid down and my Houdini hamster can escape. What is the best way to repair this as I am currently holding the roof on with cable ties?

Re: How to repair a cage
maybe you could try to attach the lid to the frontside bars with carabiner and a chain. you could easily open it...but the hamster shouldnt be able to do that
nice hole

Re: How to repair a cage
oh dear naughty ham!
I would suggest something like wrapping a sticky vinyl tile designed for bathroom floors. Normally found cheaply in pound stores etc.
Cut it to the size of the hole and wrap it round both inside and outside of the roof.

awww how sweet, but really we should be telling them off!
Just can't can you, you have to give them some credit for determination and a bit of brains

Re: How to repair a cage
Evelyn does deserve some credit for picking the weakest part of the cage but she's still a wee bugger.
I've put a heavy book over the hole which will need to do until I can get to B&Q tomorrow.
