Disinfecting
I have just got access to my new tank which is second hand and so I want to disinfect it before putting my hamster in it. What is safe to use? As far as I can tell the vinegar solution you see a lot will clean but wont disinfect which I want to do as it has been used before for fish etc
I've seen people saying bleach and others saying that can kill. I've got dettol surface spray but it doesnt say pet safe on it. Hes not going in straight away so it would have time to dry out etc
Please help if you can

Re: Disinfecting
You can buy petsafe disinfectant spray in the pet shop. I use the Johnsons one. Any petsathome sells it.
Make sure you rinse well.
Personally, i wouldn't use vinegar and definitely not bleach.
