Hi
(First: I hope the category is the right one...)
I wanted to show you my self-made wooden cages
.
At the moment, i have 3 hamsters but 4 cages, and because -at the moment- i don't want to have 4 hamsters, there are only 3 of them "in use".
I want to start with the home(s) of my syrian male Ivory.
It's size is 100x50x50cm (Lenght,width,height).
Ivory liked this cage, but because one of my hamsters past away a few weeks ago, he could move into the old cage of it, and his old cage is empty.
Ivorys new cage is sized 150x50x60 cm.

The little car between Ivo's house and the little platform was made by a friend from another forum, he created it for my old hamster "Fente".

(almost) the whole cage:
The material i used for this cage is particleboard/chipboard in maple-wood design. The frontglass is a kind of acryl glass (like "Plexiglas").
He lives in it since about 2 weeks now, and i have the impression that he likes the new cage more than the old one, because he's more active now and even shows himself every evening. In the old one it was common that we didn't see us a few days...
These two cages have their place in a Gorm (Ikea) next to my computer.

The next cage i want to show is the home of my chinese dwarf hamster Nina.
It's size is 125x40x50cm, and because chinese hamsters are good in climbing (and of course, like climbing), i tried to give her different possibilities for this with her "furniture"
.
The cage itself is made of plywood/wallboard (if the translation of "Sperrholz" was right...), but i prefer the material i used at Ivory's cage.

The brown thing next to the glass is her house, but she prefers to sleep in a nest right in the litter.

The last cage is the home of Koriander.
I built it right into an Ivar (Ikea) and used chipboard/particleboard (the backwall and the ground) and plywood/wallboard (the sides) and wire (the sides), the glasses in the front are movable, and because of this right behind them i made a protection (for litter and fleeing hamsters
) with 25cm high glasses. On the pictures, you just see the smaller glasses.
The cage's size is 253x50x50cm.

Under Koriander's cage, on the left side, is the place where Nina's cage has it place, we putted it into the Ivar, too, but it's not built directly in it like Korianders. The Ivar stands next to my bed.
A few years ago it looked like this when you entered my room:

This are all the cages wich are actually in my room
