Making use of height in a dwarf hamster cage

Looks good Sushi, I love the xmas pudding hide. Looks like there is loads to explore.
My only suggestion is that you may want to add more bedding/substrate, maybe around the items more in the middle of the cage if you don't want it spilling out everywhere. Other than that I think your new little hamster will be very happy.

The ledge is a shelf from a seller on Ebay who makes degu shelves. It's painted with Plastikote. This is the listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cage-shel...72.m2749.l2649 It's the one with a lip on the edge to prevent falls.

It looks really nice, I’d agree that it might be better with more substrate at least toward the back & centre if not around the wheel.
I’m sure your new ham is going to really enjoy it.
