That cage is a great size. I would make the bedding deeper, partly to allow for burrowing, and partly because it's a long way from the highest shelf to the bottom and a hamster might fall. Deeper bedding will cushion a fall.

I think it looks great! Your hammy will love it. All I could say is add more bedding for them to burrow on the bottom floor. Other than that I think it is perfect. Good job!

Thank you! Yup that is the plan for tomorrow, I ordered loads of Kaytee cosy bedding which will arrive tomorrow so I’ll add that then.

Also at the moment I have put a water bowl for her but she is used to a bottle, will she be okay with a bowl? I am ordering her a bottle with a stand but it won’t get here for a while and I want to leave her in her little cage.

Ps here is a pic of her!

She'll be fine with a bowl, though it might get filled with bedding so check it regularly.

She looks really sweet. I love that fur colour in Syrians.

Thanks!! It’s called zoomundo and it’s on amazon and ma trading, it was pretty reasonable too, only £62!

I put her in to explore and she seems to love it!
