Default Dwarf hamster cage advice

So I am looking to upgrade my hamsters cage, as I am aware now that the one sold to me when i first got him is most likely too small.

He is currently living in this one:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Savic-Spelo...%2C171&sr=1-23

The area I have to place the cage isn't that large and I wanted something that can go upwards rather than outwards. Ive been looking at the Rosewood PICO Hamster Home, Extra Large
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...KL5A1OLE&psc=1

Just wanted some advice on whether the rosewood would be suitable for housing my dwarf hamster.

TIA x

I think the rosewood pico cage is way too tall for a dwarf ham as they are very prone to falling, height doesn't really offer what hamsters need tbh, they need a larger floor space & a base with enough depth for deep substrate or as deep as you can get in a barred cage. The cage does need to be tall enough for a large enough wheel plus substrate though.
Can you get the Hamster Heaven cage? Used without the tubes & penthouse it can make a good sized set up suitable for most dwarf hams.

I think maybe you should give bin cages a try? They’re not too hard to make. They’re cheap so if you’re on any budget restraints definitely go for that one. I almost never go for store bought cages, just because almost all of them don’t have what it needs for a hammy to live happily and comfortably. Of course, you can choose to buy a store bought cage, I’d go for the Living World Eco Green Habitat, all three sizes should do you well, although you will have to make your own custom base out of chloroplast or something

Hi! I had the exact same cage for my roborovski pair (don't judge me I was very uneducated) but I've now switched to A bin cage for one and a zoozone for the other! They are both great options and The zoozone medium that I got takes up the same space on the set of draws (its wider however), while having much better floorspace due to it's shape.

The zoozone is actually a good option right now as it's £35 (I paid closer to £50 for mine), however with some hamsters the size may feel slightly restrictive (my robo spends most of his time in his nest or in his sand/wheel area so it works for him )

The kaze is the box I used for my bin cage (I used a pyrography tool from hobbycraft to make holes to zip tie the mesh panel onto the box)

I would reccomend the Kaytee Super Habitat or an Ikea Detolf.
