Default Help with Wodent Wheel

I was wondering if anyone can help me? I have a Savic Cambridge cage and I have bought a Wodent Wheel Junior to put in it. However I want to keep my shelves and ladders in the cage. I was wondering if anyone on here that has a Savic Cambridge cage and has a Wodent Wheel that is tied to the cage with cable ties would post some pics of how and where to place it with the shelves and ladders still in the cage. I am demented trying as everwhere I position it I just can't get it right. The stupid shelves keep moving and I keep dropping the washer etc. Is there a best place to position it on the cage? I just cant get it on. I would be really greatful if anyone would post some pics up for me to give me an idea. It does not seem to work when I try and tie the stand to the roof maybe because it's arched? I don't want the wheel free standing I want it tied on to the cage. I wish there was a demo on Youtube!!!!!

I don't think there is an easier way of doing it - I have one attached the the top of a cage but the top is flat and I can't really see a way of attaching it to a curved roof unless you maybe attached it through the side? My friend has the cambridge and a wodent wheel but she just stands it on the bottom! Is there any particular reason why you want it attached to the bars?

I want it attached to the bars so it won't take up floor space. Also I am frightened it falls over on him if I just leave it standing as it wobbles a bit I have tried attaching through the side but must be doing it wrong as I can't seem to get it to lie right and attach it correctly !!!

Here is a link to member Bunseys site where you can see the wodent wheel attched to the savic. The Wodent must be on the stand to work and it is the base of the stand that is attached to the side wall. You could contact Amy (Bunsey) vis her site and ask advice maybe?

It looks to me as though she's attached the base of the stand to the side of the cage with cable ties. So if you put the top part of the cage on it's side and stand the wheel on it, then cable tie it to the bars it's standing on.

I had mine (although it was the bigger one, so no room for the shelf) attached upside down to the vertical bars at the end of the cage. I cable tied it to the bars and then used slightly longer cable ties to attach the v shape part of the stand to the roof.

I hope that makes sense

Thanks everyone for your help. I contacted bunsey (Amy) as souffle suggested and she sent me a picture to help me

It took me half an hour to put it together as I kept dropping the pin and kept losing my alignment!!!! But here it is

I never thought of doing it on the side like that! Well I suppose its the same as hanging it from the top just on the side lol

Glad you managed to put it in ok in the end!

I have been trying to figure it out. However I have a senior wheel and it just will not fit without taking a shelf out. never realsed they were so big! Currently awaiting the junior ones just means I need another big bin cage for the 'spare' senior wheels
